Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our peptides, ordering, storage, and shipping.

Products & Quality
What purity level are your peptides?

All Alluvia Peptides products are tested to a minimum purity of ≥98% by HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography). Most products, including BPC-157 and GHK-Cu, consistently test at ≥99%. The specific purity for each lot is documented on the Certificate of Analysis (COA), which is available in our COA Library and included with every order.

What does lyophilized mean?

Lyophilized means freeze-dried. The peptide is dissolved in water, frozen, and then the water is removed under vacuum — leaving a dry powder or "cake." Lyophilized peptides are far more stable than liquid solutions, typically maintaining potency for 24+ months when stored at −20°C. The process avoids thermal degradation that can occur during conventional drying.

Are your products tested by third-party labs?

Yes. All batches are independently tested by accredited third-party analytical laboratories including Janoshik Analytical and Peptide Sciences' partner labs. Testing includes HPLC purity analysis, mass spectrometry identity confirmation, and endotoxin screening. We do not rely solely on manufacturer certificates — every lot is independently verified before it reaches our inventory.

What is a COA and how do I read it?

A COA (Certificate of Analysis) is a document issued by the testing laboratory confirming the identity, purity, and quality of a compound. Key fields to check: the HPLC purity percentage (should match or exceed the stated minimum), the retention time (confirms correct compound identity), and the molecular weight confirmed by mass spectrometry. Our blog guide on reading a COA walks through this in detail.

Reconstitution & Storage
How do I reconstitute a lyophilized peptide vial?

For research purposes, reconstitute with sterile bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol). Use a sterile syringe to inject the water slowly against the inner wall of the vial — do not spray directly onto the lyophilized cake. Gently swirl or roll the vial to dissolve; do not vortex or shake, as this can degrade the peptide. Once dissolved, the solution should be clear. Store reconstituted peptide at 2–8°C and use within 30 days.

How long can I store peptides before and after reconstitution?

Lyophilized (dry): Store at −20°C, protected from light and moisture. Shelf life is typically 24–36 months. At 2–8°C (refrigerator), lyophilized peptides are generally stable for 6–12 months.

Reconstituted (liquid): Store at 2–8°C and use within 30 days. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles — each cycle degrades the peptide. If you need to store for longer, aliquot into single-use portions before freezing.

My vial arrived warm — is it still viable?

Lyophilized peptides are significantly more heat-tolerant than liquid formulations. Brief ambient-temperature exposure during standard shipping is generally not problematic for lyophilized material. However, if you selected Cold-Chain shipping and your order arrived warm (temperature indicator card out of range), please contact us within 24 hours with a photo and we will reship at no charge.

Ordering & Payments
Who can purchase from Alluvia Peptides?

Our products are sold exclusively for in vitro and laboratory research purposes. Purchasers must be at least 18 years of age and must be qualified researchers, licensed professionals, or institutional buyers with legitimate research applications. By placing an order you confirm you meet these criteria and agree to our Terms & Conditions.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express via our SSL-encrypted payment gateway, PayPal, and cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, USDC). All card transactions are processed by PCI-DSS compliant processors — we do not store full card details on our servers.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

Orders can be cancelled or modified within 1 hour of placement by contacting support@alluviapeptides.com. Once an order enters the dispatch queue, modifications may not be possible. Please double-check your order details before completing checkout.

Shipping & Delivery
Do I need cold-chain shipping?

We strongly recommend cold-chain shipping for all orders. While lyophilized peptides can tolerate brief ambient exposure, cold-chain shipping ($24.99) guarantees 2–8°C from our facility to your door using insulated packaging, pharmaceutical-grade ice packs, and a temperature indicator card. For reconstituted or solution-form products, cold-chain is mandatory. See our full Shipping Policy.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to most countries via FedEx International and DHL Express. International customers are responsible for verifying that importation of research peptides is legal in their jurisdiction and for any applicable customs duties. We ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) for Canada and UK; all other regions are DAP. See our Shipping Policy for rates and estimated times.
